Two wire proximity sensors
Two wire proximity sensors
Two wire proximity sensors with connector

Two wire inductive sensor used with most Control Ability instruments and amplifiers.

Inductive Proximity Sensors - Type ISH
The ISH type proximity sensors are designed to be directly interfaced with electronic equipment and require a switching amplifier. They have two wire connections. If ISH sensors are to be used independently, several switching amplifiers type PDA25 Are available.

The ISH range of 2 wire Namur type sensors are suitable for detecting most types of metal. Designed for zero maintenance they are encapsulated in epoxy resin. They are suitable for use as limit detectors or as high speed counting devices. These devices require a switching amplifier which is incorporated in most Control Ability instruments.

Features Include:

  • Non contact sensing
  • Extreme reliability
  • High switching rate
  • Completely sealed
  • No finite switching life

Type I sensors can be mounted in metal up to the end of their threaded or non sensing portions making them almost flush mounting.
Type E Sensors must be mounted with metal clear of the extended moulding by a difference equal to the sensor diameter.

Three Wire Proximity Sensor

General purpose, open collector, 3 wire proximity switches for relay operation.

Inductive Proximity Sensors Type IN
The IN range of DC operated proximity switches are produced with self-contained switching amplifiers. They are suitable for directly operating electrical loads up to 400 mA. Protected against supply reversal and external short circuits, they are ideal for use in a wide variety of applications. Ferrous or non ferrous metals may be detected with these devices. Plastic or nickel plated brass bodies may be supplied. Suitable for use with most Control Ability Instruments.

The IN 3 wire inductive proximity switches are available in NPN or PNP open collector versions. They are suitable for detecting most metals are are short circuit and reverse polarity protected. IN sensors can be supplied in 8, 12, 18 or 30 mm diameter.

These sensors are capable of directly operating relays and solenoids and require a DC supply (12-30V) to operate them.

Features Include:

  • Direct operation of relays and solenoids.
  • No finite switching life.
  • Non contact sensing.
  • Short circuit and reverse polarity protected.
  • Clearly defined regenerative switching characteristic.

IPG Rotary SensorThe IPG rotary sensor is designed to fit motors or rotating shafts which have a pre drilled & tapped hole M6 x 15 deep.

It utilises an inductive sensor and a rotating 6 pole target - producing 6 pulses per revolution.

A flexible strap is fitted to prevent rotation. The IPG is directly fastened to the rotating part - no flexible coupling is required.

Dimensions:
75 mm deep in line of shaft
Moulding of body 70 mm diameter
Sensor protrudes 35 mm
Cable length 2 metres.
