CST125 : Servo Controller

A speed control and display system for mechanical and hydraulic variable speed drives.
The CST125 controller provides precise digital speed selection using hydraulic or mechanical variators and standard AC servo meters.
A pulse feedback signal is derived from the controlled drive by a contactless proximity sensor. Accurate speed control and load sensing is thus achieved.
The LED display gives continuos indication of speed attained and reference speed on demand. A system of digital programming via the keypad enables the CST125 Servo Controller to be tailored to individual drives.

CST225 : Actuator Controller

A position controller for actuators, energy monitors or other feedback systems. The CST225 digital controller is designed to control actuators operated by standard AC servo motors.
A feedback signal from a potentiometer, voltage or current, is used to provide the controller with positional information. The reference signal may be entered digitally via the keypad or an optional potentiometer may be used. The LED display provides an accurate indication of performance.
The CST225 provides precise digital selection of speed, position and other variables, using standard AC servomotors or solenoids to operate the controlling actuator.
Using digital frequency comparison, the system compares the reference signal entered at the keypad with a feedback signal from a frequency which relates to the variable being controlled. Interface modules are available to accept feedback signals from potentiometers or voltage and current signals.
The servo motor is switched by relays using an error dependent pulsing technique. Comprehensive programming facilities enable the CST225 to be matched to many different control requirements using the parameter programming facility.

MSS8 : Speed and Position Controller

The MSS Servo Process Controllers are suitable for use in a wide range of industrial applications. They operate by comparing the demand signal set on the control panel with the value of a reply or feedback signal, which is obtained from the process being controlled. If two signals vary by more than a pre-set amount the controller will produce an output by energising a 'high' or a 'low' relay. The output may be used to drive a suitable actuator which in turn, will adjust the level of the process variable until the demand and feedback signals are equal.
With this type of control system, processes may be set to operate at desired values and be maintained there automatically.
The feedback transducer may be a variable resistor or any other device capable of producing a suitable electrical signal. A power supply suitable for operation from three phase mains with a reversing contactor assembly can also be supplied.
Applications include: Speed control via variable speed gearboxes, Valve position control, Automatic voltage control, Damper control, Out of limits detector, Positioning of hydraulic or pneumatic actuators, Control of temperature, pressure, level, speed, etc.
Internal trimming facilities are available as standard.
