The DMS1 SD is a DIN rail mounted module which operates by detecting the speed of rotation of a bolt head, toothed wheel or other suitable component.

When the speed falls below the pre-set minimum, an internal relay operates. The relay contacts may be used to provide machine interlock facilities on falling or increasing speed.

An inductive sensor is normally used for bolt head detection, however, the DMS1 SD enables many different types of sensor to be employed.

Applications: Machine-in-use indicator, shaft stopped interlocks, production line monitoring, missing component detection, conveyor motion sensing, vibration monitoring, frequency switch, overall factory monitoring by use of a data logger.
