The DMS1 H is fitted with a pulse output signal which operates from the AC mains supply at 100 pulses per second. When this feature is used with the DMS CT and the pulse signal is 'gated' with a suitable switch the interval counter will increment whenever the switch is closed.

This DMS1H system may be used to monitor the ON time of electronically operated loads which switch ON & OFF at unpredictable times.

This type of system has applications for example in energy monitoring where the ON time of a heating boiler needs to be known for costing purposes.
