DFM100 Digital LED Tachometer

Panel mounting with DIN 96 mm x 48 mm Outline. A cost effective, well proven and high accuracy tachometer. Our popular panel mounting system.

The DFM100 series tachometer measures the time interval between pulses and computes the corresponding speed value. A custom designed microprocessor system enables the DFM100 tachometer to measure speeds of less than 1 rpm and greater than 100,000 rpm.

The programmable display can be set to read out in most engineering units and the decimal point can also be suitable positioned. Speed measurement is achieved by a contactless sensor in close proximity to the moving component. Pulses are generated by rotating gearwheels, bolt heads or keyways which induce signals within the sensor. The signals are processed by the display module and a highly accurate digital speed is displayed.

Pulse tachometers are most often used with proximity sensors. However, magnetic, optical or capacitive sensors may also be specified. In some cases, separate power supplies may be required. On site adjustments can be carried out with an optional plug-in keypad.

Features of the DFM100 Include:

  • Extremely versatile. The system may be programmed to accept pulses from existing bolt heads, toothed wheels or keyways.
  • Cost Effective; the use of contactless sensors eliminates expensive mechanical connections.
  • Programming is normally carried out prior to delivery. However, a plug-in keypad is available for on-site programming.
  • Installation involves mounting the indicator in a panel and the sensor near to the rotating component.
  • Wide range - speeds from less than 1 rpm to greater than 100,000 rpm.
  • Floating Decimal Point display as standard
  • Integer RPM display option for 1 pulse/revolution.
  • Multi Sensor Amplifier for most transducers.
  • Dual supply 115 or 230V AC, with a 24V Ac option.
