| SS1 Rotation Monitor and Frequency Switch |
The
SS1 monitor is a plug-in module which functions by detecting
the speed of a moving bolt head, toothed wheel or other suitable
competent. Reciprocating, rotating or vibrating mechanisms
may be successfully monitored by this technique. Linear motion
detection is also possible where evenly spaced components
can be sensed.
When
the speed falls below a pre-set minimum, an internal relay
operates after an adjustable time delay. The relay contacts
may be used to provide interlock facilities within the machine
control systems. The actual sensing component used is normally
an inductive proximity switch. However, provision is made
within the SS1 to enable magnetic sensors to be employed.
In
shaft stop applications, the monitor can prevent machine guards
from being removed from still-rotating parts. The system required
only a single pulse to ensure complete protection for the
whole of the elapsed time period.

| CLT230D Speed & Distance Display System |
The
CLT230D system provides a dual LCD display of speed and distance
with an optional input for a totalising counter.
An
integral relay trip operates at a pre-set speed and a variable
0-10V DC output signal can be provided for control or monitoring
purposes. The instrument is designed for use on 12 or 24V
DC supplies as specified.
The
system is normally provided pre-programmed but may be altered
on site using the MKP125 plug in programmer.
Sensing
is carried out by a pulse sensor in conjunction with a bolt
head, keyway or gear teeth. The sensor normally used is a
3 wire inductive proximity sensor.
The
program is set to permit the CLT230D to display the required
speed and count readings and should be adjusted for the number
of pulses per revolution at the sensing pint and any gearbox
ratio involved.

The
DMS1 SD is a DIN rail mounted module which operates by detecting
the speed of rotation of a bolt head, toothed wheel or other
suitable component.
When
the speed falls below the pre-set minimum, an internal relay
