Inductive Proximity Switches IN1.5 8GN

The IN range of d.c. operated proximity switches are produced with self-contained switching amplifiers. They are suitable for directly operating electrical loads up to 200mA. Protected against supply reversal and external short circuits, they are ideal for use in a wide variety of applications. Ferrous or non ferrous metals may be detected with these devices. Plastic or nickel plated brass bodies may be supplied.

When used in conjuction with tachometer equipment                                         
the zero speed operation of IN series sensors allows very low speeds to be measured.
Non contact sensing & high speed switching ensures that long life & good reliability can be expected.
The open collector outputs enable ease of interface to electronic tachometers & the LED indication provides a reliable method of initical setting up.
When setting up the sensor it is better to choose a sensing distance half way through the quoted or observed range.
Radial sensing is often better than axial sensing to allow for wear in thrust bearings on the machinery.
Care should also be taken to ensure that gear wheels or other targets do not wobble outside the lateral range of the sensor.
